Meet Our Veterinarians
Elise Lovisa
DVM
Dr. Lovisa graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She received several awards for academic excellence including Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Sigma and Mortar Board. Dr. Lovisa entered the NYS College of Veterinary Medicine Graduate school in a Master’s Program for the Feline Health Center and was a teaching assistant for veterinary students.
She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University and pursued an internship at the Animal Medical Center in N.Y.C. Dr. Lovisa has been in private practice in Ardsley since 1986 and has been a guest speaker at several high school career functions, and a guest on numerous radio and TV programs.
She has been recognized as a Top Veterinarian by Westchester Magazine in 2011 and 2012. Her special interests are internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, weight management and disease prevention. She works cooperatively with several pet rescue groups, pursues continuing education, and takes great pleasure in mentoring high school and pre-veterinary students. Dr. Lovisa lives in Ardsley with her husband, has two adult children and currently owns three cats, Otis, Vito and Primo. After hours she enjoys exercising, reading, being with friends, and traveling.
Mallori Fitzgerald
DVM
Dr. Mallori Fitzgerald grew up in Ardsley, NY and is excited to be practicing at the same clinic where she always brought her own pets! She received her undergraduate degree from Marymount Manhattan College where she originally had planned to study dance but quickly changed her mind to become a veterinarian after volunteering at the Humane Society of New York. After graduation she moved to Ireland and completed her Veterinary Medicine degree at the University College Dublin, graduating in 2018. After graduation she completed a rotating internship at Oradell Animal Hospital. Since then, she has been practicing general practice medicine and surgery in New Jersey. When she’s not at work she loves to spend her time trying new restaurants and going to Broadway shows. She currently lives in Westchester with her husband, and mostly friendly chihuahuas.
Julia Sabo
BVMS, MRCVS
Dr. Julia Sabo grew up over the bridge in Rockland County, NY. She earned her undergraduate degree in Pre-Veterinary Studies from UMass Amherst. She then moved to Scotland where she received her Veterinary Medicine & Surgery degree at the University of Edinburgh (Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies). Additionally, she has completed externships at both specialty hospitals and local clinics in the UK, Ireland and US. After graduating in 2024 and moving back to NY with her rambunctious pup Oliver, she now enjoys working with the Ardsley community to ensure all furry loved ones receive well-rounded care. Dr. Sabo has a special interest in ophthalmology and ultrasonography. When she is not in the office, she will likely be traveling, researching updated medical and surgical guidelines or spending time with loved ones.
Marcia Perkins
DVM
Dr. Marcia Perkins is a Bronx, NY native. She began her career in veterinary medicine as a veterinary technician at the Animal Medical Center in New York, where she built a strong clinical foundation and passion for patient care. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. Matthew’s University, completing her clinical training at the University of Georgia, and graduated in 2016. She went on to practice in Westchester County as a small animal general practitioner before expanding her experience as a relief veterinarian, working across multiple hospitals, including Ardsley Veterinary Associates. She has since transitioned into a staff veterinarian role, where she continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care and foster strong client relationships. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and exploring new vegan cuisine.

C. Dillon
DVM, Dip. ACVS-Consulting
Dr. Christopher J. Dillon is a 1991 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine Texas A&M University. After several years in private practice, Dr. Dillon decided to continue his education and successfully completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship and Small Animal Surgery Residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Since then, he has worked many years both on Long Island and Manhattan and most recently as Director of Surgery at a referral practice in upstate New York. Over the years Dr. Dillon has developed a strong interest in reconstructive surgery as it relates to trauma and in the treatment of cancer, with other interests in soft tissue and neurosurgery
Kerry Heuter
DVM, DACVIM
Mobius Veterinary Services offers quality mobile ultrasounds and internal medicine consultations directly to general practice colleagues throughout Westchester and the surrounding counties. Mobius Veterinary Services is owned by Dr. Kerry Heuter. Dr. Heuter is a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist with over 20 years’ experience managing complex cases.
Dr. Heuter received his veterinary degree from the Ohio State University and did his internship and residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He has been in the Westchester area in large specialty practices since 2007 and has performed over 10,000 ultrasounds and managed countless patients.
During this time, he has built many relationships with primary care veterinarians. An unmet need remains for access to boarded specialists in the general practice setting. In 2019, Dr. Heuter decided to start helping veterinarians and their clients by going directly to their clinics. He provides high-quality ultrasounds, detailed internal medicine consultations, and assists in the day-to-day hospitalization of the more critical patients. Dr. Heuter’s goal is to assist veterinarians with diagnostics and treatment of your internal medicine cases in your practice, so you can provide the highest possible quality medicine and quality of life for your patients and their families.
Zoe Quirk
DVM, DACVIM
Dr. Zoe Quirk received her veterinary degree from Iowa State University followed by a general internship year in Arizona. Dr. Quirk then completed an internal medicine internship followed by internal medicine residency under the tutelage of Dr. Kerry Heuter in Yonkers, NY which included extensive ultrasound training. Following completion of her internal medicine residency in 2015, Dr. Quirk worked as a staff internist at specialty and emergency practices in Long Island and Brooklyn continuing to perform and expand her ultrasound skills. Dr. Quirk is thrilled to be returning to Westchester and the surrounding communities to support veterinarians and their clients and pets by providing ultrasound exams, procedures, and internal medicine consultations directly in their home clinics. When not in the office, Dr. Quirk enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends as well as running and ice hockey.
J.P. Petrie
DVM, ACVIM-Consulting
Dr. Jean-Paul Petrie is a veterinary cardiologist with a mobile cardiology service operating in Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam and Dutchess Counties. He completed his DVM degree at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 1994. Following veterinary school, he completed an internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists, Southfield, Michigan. Prior to completing his residency, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in cardiac physiology and interventional cardiology at the Robarts Research Institute, University Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Petrie went on to complete a residency in veterinary cardiology at The Animal Medical Center in 1996. He was awarded Diplomate status by the American College of Veterinary Medicine in Cardiology in 1999. Prior to his current position, Dr. Petrie was a staff cardiologist with the Department of Medicine at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. He lectures both nationally and internationally, has published several articles and books chapters, and continues to be actively involved in clinical research projects.

Ashley Lloyd
Ashley began her journey at Ardsley Vets as a receptionist/veterinary assistant before becoming a licensed veterinary technician, Lead LVT, and eventually Practice Manager. Having worked in nearly every role within the hospital, she brings a deep understanding of the practice, its team, and the clients and pets it serves. Over the years, Ashley has helped guide the hospital through periods of growth and change while remaining committed to providing compassionate care and creating a positive experience for both clients and staff. Ashley graduated from Mercy University with a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2014 and is licensed by the NYSED as a Veterinary Technician. She lives in Westchester with her two daughters, her dog Carter, and her two cats, Cakester and Tagalong. Outside of the hospital, Ashley enjoys spending time outdoors, photography, and making memories with her girls, family, and friends.
Alessandra Bastion
Alessandra graduated from Mercy College with a Bachelors in Veterinary Technology in 2011. She is licensed by the New York State Department of Education as a Veterinary Technician. She has had experience working in veterinary ophthalmology, emergency and internal medicine. In her spare time, Alessandra enjoys spending time with her daughter and their dogs.
Kati Wettje
Kati is a licensed veterinary technician and certified dog trainer with a lifelong passion for animals. From a young age, she’s held a deep love and respect for all creatures, and she’s been fortunate to build a career around that devotion. She earned her Veterinary Technician license from Northampton Community College and has since worked with a wide range of animals in various settings. She later earned her dog training certification through Animal Behavior College and trains dogs in her spare time. Kati currently lives in Westchester with her goofy boxer Tyco, cats Hazel and Matcha and bearded dragon Jasmine. When she’s not working, she enjoys art, music, and good food.
Emma Klein
Emma is a licensed Veterinary Technician with experience working with animals of all kinds — from dogs and cats to small mammals, birds, and reptiles. She began her career in the veterinary field in 2016, earned her Associate of Applied Science degree from Westchester Community College in 2019, and is certified by the New York State Department of Education. Emma lives in Westchester with her family, including her dog Remy, two snakes (Pokey and Linguini), and chameleon, Cypher. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading a good book, and exploring new places whenever she can.
Angeles Mora
Angeles has been passionate about caring for animals since the age of five. Later on, she began rescuing stray animals in her home country of Ecuador. Driven by this lifelong calling, she started her professional journey in 2021 as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. Her dedication led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology from Mercy University followed by her professional license in May 2025. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, and going out for walks.
